What is “Fourth Day?”
The Come and See … Go and Tell weekend is powerful and transforming. But the Three-Day experience is different from other retreat experiences in that it simply begins a life-long journey, called Fourth Day, rich with opportunities to develop a deeper knowledge and understanding of the Risen Christ. Fourth Day is the heart of Come and See… Go and Tell, every day of our life after the Three-Day weekend.
Small Groups (Reunion Grouping)
You do not take this journey alone! Fourth Day encourages ongoing participation in a small group of fellow pilgrims who:
- Love and care for one another within a small community,
- Hold one another accountable to living out their baptismal promises in daily life,
- Grow spiritually, individually and collectively,
- Begin to discern where God is leading them.
Prayer and Praise Potlucks
Beyond the small group, sometimes called a reunion group, from time to time a parish or group of parishes will organize a Prayer and Praise Potluck. At this gathering, Cursillistas will pray, sing, share in random small groups, and eat (of course!). These larger group gatherings exemplify the traditional Spanish encouraging cheer of Ultreya! … in English Onward!
